A National Training Provider seeks an Employer Engagement Consultant to develop new and existing business with local and national employers in and around Ellesmere Port, based from their office in the town centre.
The company is a provider of Welfare to Work services across the North West and you will be responsible for developing relationships with employers within your geographical area. In doing so, you will enable your team to place long-term unemployed candidates who have received full employability training into sustainable work.
The Employer Engagement Consultant is the business-facing member of the team which comprises of Employability Coaches and Employability Tutors who prepare the unemployed candidates and make them job-ready. You will use your business development skills, likely gained as a Recruitment Consultant, in business to business sales or within Welfare to Work, to obtain vacancies from local employers.
The Work Programme is a target-driven Government initiative and therefore you will already be comfortable working in a positive, driven, work environment and possess the desire to succeed. Your organisation will be one of the leading providers of these services in the area, but business development and account management skills will still be required to maximise the potential within the local market.
You will develop an in-depth knowledge of local employers, promote your services by telephone and other media, arrange client-visits and ultimately obtain vacancies. Furthermore, you will work with colleagues to launch local initiatives to improve employer engagement such as hosting local events and breakfast meetings.
