Job Description

A specialist charity in North London is seeking to appoint a Family Support Worker to provide advice and support to children and their mothers who are living in refuge accommodation on a part-time basis for 4 days per week. The purpose of this role is to support a caseload of families in order to strengthen their relationship as a family and to work on their esteem. You will also be responsible for supporting them back into the community and link them to services that will be of benefit to them.

You will support each family through a key working relationship, completing support plans, risk assessments and action plans as appropriate as well as ensuring that all records are kept up to date. This role will also involve assessing and promoting parenting skills, delivering parenting programmes where required as well as building on the potential to remove CIN and CP plans.

In order to apply for this position you must have previous experience of working with children within a refuge environment as well as excellent and up to date knowledge of court procedures, CIN and CP plans as well as previous experience of attending TAC meetings. A recent enhanced CRB disclosure is a requirement for this position. The organization is looking for somebody to work 4 days per week, Tuesday - Friday
